I don't know how the general population feels about 3D television, but I am one person who is completely not in favor of it. First of all, I really, really don't want to have to re-buy my entire movie collection. I mean, I still haven't even bought all of my Disney movies (those suckers are expensive!) on DVD; I still have my original VHS tapes for most. Hopefully those have some sort of collector's value someday, because I keep almost everything I have in mint condition and we have most of the original copies of the movies.
But more than the monetary issue, I just have a feeling in my gut that I am going to be one of those people who does not do well with 3D at home. I have seen one movie in theaters in 3D, and yes I did fine with it. But I am a prime candidate for having eye problems watching them for longer periods of time. I stair at a computer screen all day for my job, which definitely is slowly having an impact on my vision, so my eyes are more than likely fatigued to begin with. I have an astigmatism and I just have a feeling my eyes will not like 3D. Just sayin'.
