In a world of my imagination

Yesterday, there were two different times where I was imagining things. It hit
me that the reason I find so much hilarity in nature is because I inject myself
into that animal's mind. Allow me to explain...

The first was on my way to church. On the drive out of the subdivision, I passed
by a turtle. It looked like the same on that was in our yard the other day. He
was crossing the road and was still moving as I was approaching. I carefully
avoided him and passed in front of his head where he could see my car zoom past.
In my side mirror, I see him immediately turn around and start booking it
towards the other side as if to say "Screw this! I almost got killed!"

The second time I was imagining the thoughts of something else was last night. I
was sitting out back and our resident owl started screeching, as it usually
does, to announce that the sun will be setting soon. This has always stuck me as
funny to begin with because usually we think of owls hooting at night and
staying completely nocturnal. Well, our owl likes to wake up a little early I
suppose. Anyways, ANOTHER owl started hooting and then they started talking.
They kept going back and forth and it was really cool. I wondered if they were
arguing? Just chit-chatting? Who knows!
